Liberty Forward was founded in 2007 to promote both fiscal responsibility in city government and the idea that government spending should be transparent and information should be easy for citizens to obtain and understand. Mayor Announces Citizens Task Force
We urge you to attend Monday's Liberty City Council Meeting & Study Session where Mayor Steinkamp will introduce his framework for a citizen Financial Oversight Committee.
The devil will be in the details as Monday's meeting will be the unveiling of the plan.
Show the council that you care and attend Monday's meeting.
Council meetings are at City Hall in the council chambers at 7pm.
Liberty Forward is cautiously optimistic about this plan. It is the first attempt by the city to reconcile with the citizens about past promises not delivered on ballot sales tax issues.
Liberty Forward will give the mayor the opportunity to present his plan before commenting on the details.
